Kauri Cove is a hidden gem located on a privately-owned beach of Moturua Island. This stunning beachside house, designed by famous New Zealand architect Pete Bossley, has been skillfully built to take advantage of the soothing water and island views as well as to fit into its native surroundings on the idyllic Moturua Island.
The main home features four beautifully appointed bedrooms, all enjoying a private terrace and ocean views. The focal point of the main house is the split level living area. The kitchen and living room flow to surrounding outdoor patios adjoining a vast lawn. Each room has maximum exposure to outside, either the beach and sea to the east, and through the relaxed corridor to the land and afternoon sun to the west. In addition, a separate guest house contains two bedrooms, bringing the island guest capacity to a comfortable 14. Additional bedrooms are also housed in the helicopter hangar which is self-contained and includes a kitchen making it is suitable for support staff.
There is an underground boat shed is home to a wide range of toys such as fishing gear, paddle boards, sea kayaks and up to the minute snorkeling equipment. On request, boats and jet skis can be arranged.
